Background

Like many of the 7000 plus breweries out there today, Kros Strain Brewing (pronounced Cross Strain) was formed by a couple homebrewers that grew to love the hobby enough to ditch their previous college degrees and switch their career paths to the brewing industry.  In their previous careers, Bobby Kros (pronounced cross) worked as an engineer and Scott Strain came from a legislative background.

Brewing's been in their blood since at least 2006. They spent many years as homebrewers perfecting the craft, brewing for friends and family, entering competitions and even winning a few! They decided to go full bore into the beer industry in 2013 when we began brewing for a brewery. It was while learning the ropes as actual brewers that they began to realize they had similar goals and ideas.

After some time and much thought, they developed a plan for a packaging brewery in the Omaha area. After spending over a year raising funds for the brewery they signed a lease, began architechture, and started construction in January 2017.

Supajuice

Double IPA - 9.4 %abv - 94 ibu

A Double IPA that is light in body and packed full of all the delicious hoppiness you need. Brewed with a simple 2-row and Wheat Malt base and dry hopped with delicious Simcoe and Amarillo hops, you’ll get tons of citrus fruit, pine, with light berry notes.

Helles Creek

German-Style Helles Lager - 4.8% abv - 16 ibu

Named after Hell Creek, which runs through Omaha and into the Papio creek behind the brewery, this easy drinking lager is perfect for a summer day or anytime you are looking for that traditional taste. With some light malt sweetness and no bitterness, Helles Creek is the perfect compliment to just about everything.

Dark Paradise

Amber Ale - 4.3% abv - 25 ibu

Dark, yet light and easy drinking, this amber ale is a bit roastier than a typical amber ale. It's actually closer to a roasty version of an English-Style Mild ale. It doesn’t really fit into neat style descriptions, but it does drink well. Think light notes of chocolate with coffee.

Fairy Nectar

IPA - 6.2% abv - 62 ibu

Drink within 3 months!

This hazy juicy treat is packed with a ton of aromatic hops at the end of the boil and dry-hopped with a round of citra and mosaic hops. This IPA is hugely aromatic with little bitterness and a light body. You’ll experience notes of grapefruit, mango, tropical goodness.
